New Website is now LIVE! - Appreciate Feedback

Loving the design and feel of the site!
Also the awesome pictures help :p

Just one niggle I found which may just be my machine though, when I go on any gallery and click a picture to bring up larger it doesn't, the screen dimms and the picture doesn't show :S

where it highlights as you mouse over.. I want something like that for my wordpress site, did you code it yourself or was it some plug in?

What I found a bit of a hassle was selecting a menu at the top, then having to scroll down for the sub menu.. have you thought about building it all into the menu at the top?

Glad to hear it, do you find it easy to navigate through?

That's strange I can assure you it works, it does require's a plugin though, is your Java up to date? also site does work on ipad/mobile also might be worth checking.

be interesting to see if anyone else has that problem, what browser are you using?

Thanks Ed,

I created and coded the site myself, the button highlight is a simple rollover button, tried to keep it as simple coded and working as possible.

I did consider a drop down menu at the start, but didn't like it cutting into and over images at the top, so instead I created short cuts at the bottom of everypage to each portfolio.

Hey,

No it's lovely, not a massive fan of menus at the bottom but that's personal preference.
My Java may need updating but it's IE i'm using. But many customers may not have upto date Java anyway so always worth bearing in mind.

Also I WANT THE RED BULL HELMET SHOT!!!!!

Ah I really should have tested IE more...
I see your problem, it actually drops it down the full image and is still greyed out, so I need to check that coding, hopefully easy to fix... but with IE, it usually never is!

oh and the red bull shot, funnily enough I have 4x A3 canvas prints of that very image sitting in my room getting ready to put up for sale.

I'm using IE too and I'm getting the same as J4MIE_P where I don't get a photo I'm afraid.

The website is looking good though - easy to navigagte through. Clean lines. Looking good!

Same here, but what actually happens is the picture comes up big off the bottom of the screen, if you scroll down it's there behind the dimness, with the menu gallery repeated beneath it. I'm on the latest version of IE9.

Yep for me as well using IE, work's great on Chrome... but should have really tested it fully before on all browsers.

I think I've found the source, but quite complicated so it's taking me hours already to try and fix it.

I loved the old one... i pointed so many Herberts off here to look at yours..

" Get some style!" i told them.

It's about the look of the site and the photography.

but all the Herberts think it's about JUST the photography. and is the whole package that shows who you are.


As always though Cezare you work is tops.... And if so much as think of giving up i will come and kick your butt.

And none of that part time nonsense we spoke about.

As always it looks good.

You did and I was quite happy with that site for awhile, but then I started to look at going for the clean simple look and started designing away....

I think the new one looks alot more professional imo, I do like the old one, but the new one (everyone I showed it too so far, loves it)

Well I'm still open to full-time employment if the job/company right, otherwise giving it my all on freelance this year! ;)

got the old one as backup but my heart is set on the new site.

just trying to fix that IE code... been spending all afternoon on it.
it's a problem with the Doctype but if I change this it effects the code/layout on that page so... trying to work it out.

probably have to have the weekend off and come back to it fresh.

Oh... And good news it took me like 5 hours to do but fixed the coding on the site, so now should work correctly in all browser types Inc IE :D

Should have checked at the start though :bonk:
