New website and blog

Just had a quick look and it looks a nice clean and clear layout to me, but I found the amount of the header bar that remained on show when scrolling was a bit too much as it obscured a lot of the screen. If it were just the menu items I think it would be fine, but having the logo height as well detracted from the images for me.

Nice simple layout of your site. I don't like header ewither. Not sure if this is by design or mistake, maybe it is mean to be a "resize logo javascript" that isn't working?

These sort of header bars (which remain at the top of the page regardless of scrolling) mildly irritate me because I don't scroll down web pages as I read, I 'page down'. Paging down does not take these headers' size into account so consequently I miss some text which becomes 'hidden' behind the bar forcing me to grab the mouse and scroll back a bit every time.

Your header bar, as others have commented, is quite large and I 'lose' entire paragraphs!

If the content is engaging I'll begrudgingly fiddle around to read, otherwise I'll simply close the page and go elsewhere.

I'm probably in a tiny minority, but I thought I'd pass my thoughts along.

Otherwise, the page was nice and clean. I wish the article had less (or none) of the technical babble because for simple shots like these those the details are irrelevant.

Nit-picking: watch your spacing of text, sometimes it runs onto a picture with no space, sometimes the picture has a caption with too much empty space, then there's a large bit of empty space before the tags at the bottom of the page. I only saw the footer after looking at the page a couple of times (to check my initial impressions were vaguely accurate) and came across it by accident. The text on your home page is way too large. You may want to consider setting your 'Buy Online' link to open in a new page rather than navigating away from your site.

So generally I like it, it's clean and simple (a good thing!) but for me the header is too distracting and you need a little more attention to the small details.

Good stuff. Thank you.

My tuppence. I'm viewing this on my iPad and the images don't re-size to fit the screen, so they end up going off the edge, whether in portrait or landscape mode. It will not allow me to pinch to zoom in /out so I can't get to see the whole image at all :(

And yes, the header image does scroll with the page for me too. When I scrolled rather quickly down it seemed to disappear up with the rest of the page then "faded" back in. Well the reverse of fade but neither I or my husband can think of the word lol.

The header seems different in portrait to landscape mode too. Options for Home, About etc are missing in portrait.

P.S. Check your spelling and grammar too. Should be "Given that the weather was pleasant" not "Give the weather was pleasant" ;)

Nice and clean looking though.

Well, the top image looks fine on the iPad, and in my humble opinion looks a lovely shot.

However, the other images still get chopped off the end :(

And something else I noticed this time, is the Facebook box in the footer runs over the twitter feed... Ashamed to say I may not have looked at the footer last time  :$
