not really, every mention of lenses would then look like *****s. Imagine if someone had two they wanted to sell the ad would look like

"Two ****s for sale. Hardly used, wife used one once but didnt like it, other one still in it's bag"

Depends on the software. Some allows only exact matches to be altered so lens would get changed but lenses wouldn't. I set one up so F*rrari got changed to "Cheating b@$7@rd$" a few years back (and, IIRC, a member's name got changed to a rather perjorative epithet...) (I keep promising myself I'll grow up one day but keep putting it off!)

LOL You should have seen the test installation when I first played with the new forum software.

lens on it's own was always corrected to lens
That was fun.

Nikon was also autocorrected to "Bag'o'poo"
