Greetings,
Purchased my first DSLR , finally took the plunge, A Canon EOS 40d.
28-80 and 70-300 zoom lens and am now looking for a good tripod.
I'm an artist and wanted a good camera for taking wildlife shots etc.
Haven't got a clue what i'm doing so any help would be appreciated.
 
Hi Alan and welcome.

A good start would be to look through the Animals & Nature and Birds forums. You'll be in awe of the high standards achieved.
Plenty tips in there too.

I see in your profile you have a Red Snapper tripod which one did you go for and whats your thoughts on it.
Ive been thinking about the 283 Tripod and RSH-528 3-Way Head Kit

Yeah i have the 283 ( i think as that was the only one available when i got mine ). Great tripod for the money and goes to a good height. I already had another head so i use that on the tripod but neither have ever let me down.Great customer service as i damaged the threaded screw ( my own fault ) and it was replaced for free.What camera and lens would you be using it with?
