Guys - if you have 1 TV in the house, I do not want to see anyone post 'I had to record top gear cos my mrs wanted to watch ITV'.
I agree with any woman who comlains about her old man glued to the TV watching football.
But TG is a god given right to any man wether he be a petrol head or not. Our testosterone need it's fix.
Be brave, be proud, fellow men of the UK, I salute you :D

:lol: funnily enough, most of the women I know also love TG. I know its definately bloke TV, but I suspect a goodly percentage of the audience are women - and I don't mean ones that are huffing and puffing because they would rather be watching ITV.
 
Very good, will watch that with my 7 yr old brother no doubt. BTw, I thinks its only on at 9 cause of something to do with Strictly or summat?? don't think its any more adult?? Tan usual LOL ;)

I'm recording NCIS and House so I'll have to catch TG later in the week.

just watched the first episode and I thought it was a great start.
 
Sorry to be the one to rock the good ship Top Gear but i'm starting to think the formula is getting a bit tired now, it's difficult to know how they could make it different but the whole show felt like a repeat to me , jaunty drive in a foreign country, smoking tyres, star in a car, more jaunty drive in a foreign country, the end.

3 grown men acting like kids, lol moments, cars to drool over.
Just the kind of fix I need on a Sunday evening when weekend tv is mostly crap.
 
I'm lucky to have control over the TV most of the time, she also like TG which helps. Most of her crap she can record(V+) and watch when I take the camera out.

Kinda agree with this, however I (somehow) managed to sit through 2 episodes of 5th gear today and realised how the 'tired' TG formula is sooo much better!
 
i watched it... well, i say "watched it" - it was more "put it on the tv then let it just run in the background while i did other stuff"...

Top Gear has gotten so boring. it's run it's course - it's not captivating any more if i'm honest.

so this time they found a driving road and drove along it in supercars - didn't they do that before ?
they parked in a "side street" which turned out to be in a ludicrous place - that's happened many times.
they've reversed a truck into a car - seen that before.

i'm bored of it. they should just knock it on the head if.
 
Perhaps the format is becoming slightly tired, but IMO it's still better than most other carp shown on a Sunday evening.
 
It stopped being a car magazine program ages ago and became a lads mag (as evidenced by more and more totty being pushed to the front of the audience) which for a while was entertaining, but I think as others have said, the show is tired, past it's sell by date now. Not sure how many more times I can watch JC giggling like a schoolgirl while they play another trick on James while driving somewhere foreign in cars I have little interest in and zero chance of ever owning.

best show in the world - and it was a funny start... How comes Captain Slow managed to get his Lambo crashed into when he was stationary? and that poor car crushed by the lorry - had us wetting ourselves with laughter
