New to TP and photography

Hi TP members im buddy and from Derry in Ireland.
i got a Nikon D5000 a few weeks ago and want to spend some of my limited free time behind the camera.
i know nothing about photography other than point n shoot.

im looking forward to gaining some knowledge from you all
