Yes
I'm farly new to photography as a hobby, but having seen the following picture, I'm a bit worried about how it may all turn out.

Is this normal?

He's a lightweight :)

I notice a wedding ring. Somewhere there is a poor wife, in threadbare clothes eating crusts and water for dinner!!

Just see this thread. Somewhere I'm to lazy to look you can see all of busterboy's kit. it is impressive of course he has sold his wife, child and house to get there... (JK!) It is an addiction.

No worries, that scene is a little over the top. You really can forget about the knee pads until you have a mono and tripod to haul around as well

 That's amazing!

Incredible - you can't even SEE any of the golf clubs

I think hes confused, hes using both Canon and Nikon kit. Hes yet to realize that Canon is the only way forward, that will come with experience :D

:canon: ;)

those knee pads are a good idea for when you're shooting snowdrops...and elbow pads would be good too ;)

Is that a self-portrait Ants ... ... and the reason you are not carrying a tripod and camera with portrait lens attached ...

Of course the subject has to be wearing steel toe capped trainers for when the Lightsides inevitably break the strap due to the inordinate weight of their lenses ...

How un-canonteristic WS ... :D

That looks very much like a 600mm slung over his shoulder..

These has been around for a while. He is a US golf photog pro.

The bloke with the ladder is actually carrying a score card.
