I'm Danny I moved here about a year ago from Texas where it's flat and desert like! I have dabbled in photography before but the lack of things to shoot at least outdoors led me to giving up. But since moving here there are always cool things with lots of history to keep me busy! Really enjoy this forum lots of tips and ideas floating around! :D

Just had a look through some of your photos on Flickr - very nice! Glad you like it here!

Hi Danny,

Welcome to Tp, and of course the UK, particularly North West England.
Firstly you will find the weather somewhat different, the stuff you see falling from the sky is called rain. We get a lot of that here. However the good news is, because of the rain, we get a lot of greenery. Places to go and shoot around the Southport any numerous.
Just off the top of my head, and I don't know how long you have been in the UK, so you may have discovered these already, but try the following:-
Fleetwood wrecks (Take good boots).
Anywhere in the Yorkshire dales
Lake District
Pretty much anywhere up and down the coast from you really.
Liverpool at night is great fun and lots to photograph around the water front.
Lots of small villages around you and the Crosby, going North area.
Explore these arras with other toggers and you will discover lots more.
Way to many to list them all.

Enjoy the UK, don't let the weather get you down, it's what makes us a green country.

Pedro.

Hi, And welcome to the forum and of course the UK. Apologies for the weather it has been known to occasionally get better. :)

I hope you like our country as much as I like yours. I am actually lucky enough to have a property in "Spring Creek" Tennessee.
