Hi my name is Ed, i'm 19, nearly 20, i have a great interest in cars (VW of course), i own a canon 1000d with a 170cm tripod, which i have bought recently! Because i love my vw's i want to start taking good photo's of my car and @ shows, the only way to do that is by obviously goin out and getting used to the camera, and getting some advice of you guys, anyway many thanks for reading, Ed.:D
 
Welcome to the site Ed......... you will grow out of your fixation and learn to love better cars - Smart, Prius etc:lol::lol::lol:

Well lol.. its tempting to by a smart car lol :thumbs: but you can't beat vw build quality!

Hi Ed, and welcome to Talk Photography. :wave: I agree that VW has the right background, as in German build, but I would argue that BMW is a hard cookie to beat, especially as I have worked in the motor industry in the past and know how fussy BMW are regarding ALL materials used that go into their vehicles right down to the foam around the door speakers?????

Audi quality is maybe slightly better than VW - don't doubt BMW quality....it's just the idiots they let behind the wheels of em:naughty:

Bentley
Lambo
Bugatti

etc..

explains quite alot ;)

Hey......... I'm one of the good guys that's trying to turn that around. But yeah, I'm out numbered by about 450,000 - 1:'(
 
Hi Paul, I've got the 1000D too. Like you a beginner. Advice? Shoot everything and try to learn from your mistakes. Get used to the camera and ask lots of questions. Some very knowledgeable togs on here, all ready to help.
