Hi, the names Acroama.
My Nikon D40 arrived thismorning so thought I would venture out and take a few snapes.
This is my first time holding a DSLR and am looking to get into photography

below are some of the picture taken today. some inside shots and some outside shots.

Could someone provide feedback on these please.

First and third would be my favourites from those, especially the patterns of the tree branches :) Keep on snapping away :thumbs:

dont think its out of focus but the memorial itself is in a state.
 
hehe I wonder how long it will be before the dogs run a mile when you get the camera out :p

I really like the 3rd and 5th :) (though the 4th a 5th do seems a little wonky). Good shots for first time out with the camera though :) and in this weather all shots tend to look a bit grey and uninspiring, but you managed to capture some nice shots :thumbs: look forward to seeing more!
 
I love number 2! there's something about it that says that dog knows more about life than I do... not hard I suppose. welcome anyway and great photos :)
