Hi im fairly new to all this kind of stuff, I have tried to give this photo an edit to make the sea all the same colour rather than the distinctive lines it has gained when stitched together. But what ever i do always seems to look false and worse than it does now. So any tips? Im using Aperture.

Not near a computer, this could be a bid fiddly.


I try a feathered curve and lighten
If that didn't work maybe dodge an burn. Or hue sat, or selective colour.

A few ways of doing this, if I get time I'll have a bash.

Just noticed your on aperture. I think you can brush in the adjustments above.

Defo found this hard work, i used lasso tool to select areas and adjusted the levels prob did 5 or 6 small local adjustments...(I also threw a gradient map at it)....it started to level out but needs more work....this method will take a little time.

I'm sure someone must have a better easier method

*As its a small jpeg its started to get compression artefacts, see top right :( (which is to do with the saving and opening and saving again rather than the adjustments)
** Sorry I would have no idea how you would do this in aperture 3, unless you can stack mutiple adjustments???
*** Not sure if this is what you did, but when you shoot pano's use manual rather than auto or AV to stop the camera metering and deciding of a different exposure for part of the pano.
**** Don't tell the purists but i'm a fan of the scott kelby approach....the easiest way to get a pano is to use a wide angle lens, then just crop it to look like a pano. Unless you are printing really large nobody will ever now ;)

Wow that is a lot better than anything I have managed with this picture.
As for the approach to taking the photo this was taken with with a TZ10 and there was just no other way of taking it but multiple photos and then stitching it together. This was taken at easter before I purchased a camera with changeable lenses. But I will give it a go next time.
Will try an edit again with your advice and post if the results are any good.
