Yes
Yesterday took some shots in both Raw and large format JPEG
Can download JPEG images (asked for critique in Landscapes)
but (and I should know) how do I download RAW images?

I have the Canon Disc but have not had time to go download yet!

If you don't have any other software, PE etc, download the cd software from Canon, go to their software site and update it to the latest version.

You will then be able to view your RAW files in zoombrowser and modify in DPP.

Hope this is of help...

Thanks Andy:thumbs:

If your disc is Digital Photo Professional(DPP), then that's nice and straight forward for basic editing both Raw and JPEG's. I usually download straight from the camera using windows download, then open the Raw files in DPP where you can adjust WB tone sharpness exposure, crop, etc then convert to JPEG or TIFF... I always go to JPEG. Very straight forward once you get used to it.

Just download Faststone image veiwer it's free and does a perfect job.

The latest has some basic editing in it too.

Downlaoded the canon CD m/c can see the pitures on the camera but cant download still :bang:

Thanks Chris have a local lad looking at it (think i may need a codec?????) but if the issue continues this will be a good fallback

I love technology but it doesnt seem to like me:lol:

Did you download the EOS Utility from the disc? Thats what I use for downloading from the camera.

Yes
getting error message:bang: {failed to connect with camera, check connections}
yet I managed to download the JPEG files via the microsoft scanner and camera wizard so think the connections are ok

Might be worth a complete uninstall, then pop the disc back in, reinstall everything on the disc, go to Canons web and update ALL the software, then try reconnecting the camera.

You must update all the software, as some updates will only work with the other software udated.

If all else fails, buy a card reader - I would anyway as it downloads much more quickly and you don't have these problems.

Hope this helps..

I would get a card reader - have a look for the Sandisk one on 7dayshop / Play etc as they have good prices on them and you'll be surprised at the difference in download speed

Card reader for me too. That way you don't need to rely on software to transfer images from camera to PC, just drag and drop or copy and paste.

Hi yes have downloaded the Eos utility and updated on the Canon global website

It Seems that whenever I plug in the USB the microsoft panal appears asking which software I would like to use Chosing either Eos Utility or Zoom Browser EX
but the software does not recognise the camera (Literally) and I have to close. Plugging in the camera again then via the microsoft camera download wizard would only pick out the JPEG pictures. Using the Advanced detail Ii could see both sets of images on the camera but when downloading both images of each shot would download but arghhhh both would be in the JPEG format.

But thanks to Andy he proposed a card reader the canon software saw and downloaded both imaged which is great as I was running out of camera memory:lol:
