New Telephoto Advice

Hi,
I am looking to add a third and final lens to my gear then I should have everything I need,
I currently have, Sigma 18-35 1.8 Art, and the Tamron 150-600 G2,
Mainly like my 18-35 for landscapes and night shoots and the 150-600 for birding etc..,
I did have a Tamron 70-300 Di2 but decided to sell this and upgrade,
Ideally I’d like something that fits in between the 18-35 and the 150-600 so I’m covered for most things,
I have my eye on the Tamron 70-210 F4,
I don’t really see the need to go for a 100-400 as the one I have now will do that just as easy,
So I’m guessing either between the Tamron 70-210 F4 or the Sigma 50-100 F1.8 Art, I don’t suppose I’d need the extra that the Tamron 70-200 2.8 offers,
I can’t decide what to do,
Can anybody offer advice ?

You seem to be addicted to zooms, but what about a nice 85mm f/1.4 prime? It would complement what you have nicely.

So I’m guessing either between the Tamron 70-210 F4 or the Sigma 50-100 F1.8 Art, I don’t suppose I’d need the extra that the Tamron 70-200 2.8 offers

I've been looking at the Tamron 70-210 f4 as I like that focal length for street photography but I've been unable to find any user reviews on the lens except for the pro sites.
I've previously owned a Canon 70-200L f4 IS but like the 100-400 mk1 which I have also previously owned, this time I opted for the Tamron 100-400 as my theory was that is should be as good as the Canon mk1 being a newer lens.
Personally I think Tamron have come on leaps and bounds with their latest lenses.
I'm also interested in the Tamron 150-600 G2 as well, how do you find using it hand held?
Sorry if it seems like I've hijacked your thread but you are the first person I've come across who owns a 150-600 G2.

Not at all,
Yeah the G2 is a great lens I really do like it,
And performs well handheld,
I had it at the farnes last week and it was great for puffins handheld,
On the other hand,
I like zooms as I have everything covered when I think I might need that little extra reach without having to change lenses,
The 150-600 isn’t an ideal walk around lens and I’d be limited with a prime I reckon,
So 70-210 should fit in nicely I reckon

I'm the same as you when it comes to that little extra reach, hence I find zooms better for my needs that prime lenes.
I wouldn't even consider trying to use a 150-600 as a walk about lens, it would be ideal for use in hides where various birds on lakes are too far out for the 100-400.
