I've been looking and looking for something to kick me into gear and inspire me to actually start taking pictures of SOMETHING:shrug: :bang: :bonk: A complete lack of the old inspiration.
Well bearing in mind the saying 'only stupid people get bored' I have made a decision:lol: :lol: :lol:

For me anyway.
So the first of my new beginning WIL BE of the street party in Thurso-but only after 24.00hrs. There I've said it now, it's too late to go back. Just clean the camera, put on a lens and do it.
It's almost like bike riding (fear of falling) but I will suck seed.:)

Thanks for the encouragement. I gotta say it aint easy to get out of this hole. Reading you all helps keep the perspective.
 
It is good to have an aim, in fact without direction a photographer will become stale very quickly. Inspiration comes in many forms but sometimes a single event or location can provide the impetus to move forward.

I often use the Kessock Bridge as a returning point when I feel I need to revisit basics. I have looked at it through a lens many times so the challenge is to find something different (particularly when it is such an ugly bridge) that moves you on to another level.

The street party sounds like a good place to start and I wish you success with your New Year "resolution"! :thumbs:
