Hi all,
I recently bought a set of Edifier Spinnaker speakers - they are great pieces of artwork and sound wonderful, but I'm going to return them because they have proved to be unreliable (remote failing, speakers unresponsive to input).

I don't have the space for an amp, so a dedicated pair of hi-fi speakers+amp is probably not an option.

Any recommendations? Bluetooth would be a bonus but not essential, and I'm only looking for a 2.0 or 2.1 set.

Harmon Kardon Soundsticks 3 are awesome. Heard them demo'd the other day in a shop and was amazed at the sound quality. You can get them for just over £100 if you shop around.

i love my creative T40 II, nice and powerful and no need for a sub.

Thanks, I'll have a look at them.

The Soundsticks are definitely within budget, but a few problems - I'm not won over by the styling, and the power button on the sub rather than satellites is a bit annoying. Additionally, the glowing subwoofer would annoy me at night.

Good Points, I personally use Logitech Z4's. I don't think you can buy them any more but for £60 they are awesome. Best speakers I have ever had, even sound as good as the Harmon Kardon's.

I have a pair of Bose Companion 20, very rich sound from a couple of small speakers, nice wired remote. Only downside is the usual Bose exaggerated bass, but that can be cleaned up with the EQ easy enough.
