I would like to thank you for all your advice and offers .i am now the proud owner of a ex display A57 if sell the kit lens and claim the cash back I should come in on budget.
Phil I would of loved your A65 but the wife did not fancy a second hand camera.i was all set to get the A37 it was the wife encouraged me to go for the 57 on the proviso of no more new kit.
Can't wait to have a good play with I will post some pictures soon.

Think you/she made the right choice - spend the extra now, reap the benefits and enjoyment of the long term.
Doubt it'll be found wanting in 2-3 years time.
IMO, for all the kit lens is 'worth' by the time you sell it, I'd say you're better to hang on to it as a back up, just in case.
Can't be worth all that much less in 12 or 18 months time, especially if you've never need to use it, or using it and another lens to part-fund a new one.
