So, I'm having to skrt out a replacement for my dearly departed 5Dc, and I'm down to 2 options but to help me get assistance I'm also including the type of stuff I shoot.
My two options are the 7D or 5D Mk2.
I do shots of family and stuff as normal, I like railway photography and sport, particularly motorsport photos where I can too. I recently borrowed my wife's 450D for a tractor pull event and the AF when trying to do portrait shots (vehicle bottom right corner) was a big disappointment and cost a good degree of shots. Prior to the 5Dc I had my own 450D for 2 years so I'm very familiar with using it. It's this lack of speedy accurate AF which is making me lean towards the all cross-type 19 AF points of the 7D, that and the AF grouping options it has too. From what I understand the 5D mk2 has a fairly similar system to the 5Dc with the one central cross-type again out of 9. Plus the 8fps appeals for catching action.
So, I guess that about sums up my needs and hopes, so it's over to you lot for some decisive assistance.
