I am currently toying with the idea of buying a new printer, using a R800/A4 and very happy with it!
Ideas on an upgrade to A3 please?
Jim

I've just gone from an R285 to an R2880, excellent jump upwards and the quality is fantastic, espcecially for B&W. You need a CISS or refillable cartridges though else the print cost with original cartridges will leave you weeping

R2880, I have had one for a year or so now, excellent results but I personally would steer clear of copy ink or continuos systems. The reason I had to buy R2880 was my old Epson printer clogged the heads with crap ink! I argued with the continuos systems sales people at Focus last year about the problems with their inks, even the samples printed for display purposes at the exhibition had lateral lines through suggesting clogged ink jets!

I buy ink from Espon website at £11.57 per colour with free delivery.

I use the HP B9180GP

Excellent quality and like the fact that if needed, the printheads are user replaceable.

Great to go bigger but A3 isn't as good as A2 where you can then print standard 20x16's but the cost is obviously a lot more. If you feel you won't need to print bigger A3 is fine.

Thank you all for the advice, appreciated,
Jim
