Anyone using the new pocketwizards with ETTL?
I'm really tempted....

Yes, mine two tt5's arrived last week and I have been doing some testing. with a 580ex sat on top on the tt5 on a stand, range was about 25 yards. With an off cam cord the range went over 100 yards which is more that I will ever need.

Also tested the HSS and have shot at 1/2000 with no problem.

Looking to order two more soon.

I've read about the interference issue and the using the off cam cord to fix it. Do you still need to fine tune to get HSS or do they work right out of the box?

I got some about a month ago and they do work good - but the range is pretty crap - I must admit I was expecting a little further

I must confess to being a poor off camera flash photographer but am enjoying the learning curve with these things and intend getting another in the future

I just wish the range was better, mine go about the same as Sherman's 25yds or so

will have to have a go with the off shoe cord should I neeed more range

can someone explain this off cord thing... sounds like good triggers are the off camera cords acting as antennas or something?
