Hi Guys, New to photography,

I dont have a camera yet, Curious to know which camera's are good for a beginner, Mainly be taking pictures of Cars, Occasioally moving car photo's.
I do have a sort of budget
Any help i would appriciate greatly.

'Sort-of' a budget...?

It's a start - a little more info and I think you'll get a few more responses...

But for cars - moving cars - you'll need an SLR; digital or film depending on your preference...

Erm id say probably like £250 budget,

I know you can get a second hand Sony Alpha Series for this price, but do i require a camera of this spec to start out with or will a decent Standard Digital camera do me?

And I'd sooner have a Digital to a film

I'll have to defer to someone who's more familiar with the capabilities of cameras at that price-point...it's lunchtime now so hang on for a bit - someone will be on soon with more info...

Welcome Burner :)

If your budget is strictly £250, then it's probably Sony. Stretch it just a little and Nikon and Canon move into the frame, but TBH there is not much to choose between them and they are all very good. All stunning value for money, that's a fact, and most of the time your pictures will be indistinguishable from cameras costing ten times that figure.

You might as well pick one on the basis of what feels best to you - they all do the basics pretty much the same. And well :)

If you are looking to build a system particularly on a tight budget, then Canon and Nikon are favourite because of the large choice of lenses and accessories available. If you look down the For Sale section here for bargains, and there are plenty of them, they are mostly Canon, then Nikon, very little of much else.
