Sitting at my desk, a pile of work and somewhat over heating in the very warm East Anglian evening air!

I need to cool down, so lets see images of 'being cool' in every possible interpretation.

Theme selected for maximum 'shoe horn-ability', selfies also accepted if applicable ;-)

Standard rules apply:
  • Must be taken by you
  • Must be on film
  • Must have been taken (and devved and scanned) prior to the start date
  • Tell us about the camera, lens, emulsion and anything else of relevance!
  • One Entry per person
Closing date is the 28th of July at midnight with a poll to follow quickly after.

There's nothing cooler than chillin' out by a glacial lake.
...or freezing your ass off while your other half fiddles with a camera through thick gloves

Definitely fits the rules: taken in 1991 on a handheld Hasselblad in my daughter's Birmingham hotel room, en route to Austria. My excuse for the softness is camera shake, due to laughter...

I had a feeling I might have tried this one before without success, but couldn't find it. More conventional perhaps; walking back in the evening of my first skiing holiday in Austria in 1971...

Taken with the Werra 1 (no meter!) on Kodacolor X.

Short extension. My MBP has given up the ghost, and I won't be back home until Sunday, where I can put the poll up on my desktop, so slightly extended last call for entries.

Get your votes in!

And apologies Simon ess, darned predictive text!!

Poll closes at 10pm tonight, still time to vote!

I don't know, you turn your back for 5 minutes and the whole platoon takes a step back :bat:

Right I'll have a think.

Well done to the winner/s, and everyone else who posted a photo too. I'm sure I'm not alone in having a bit of fun looking through some of the surviving old photos I've taken over the years to see if I've got anything that fits the bill (or that I can shoehorn in), and for that experience alone I think this is a competition well worth entering, when time and suitable photos allow. So bring on the next subject. (y) No pressure there Nick! ;)
