Struggling to come up with new ideas/subjects for these now so I'm going with "Shafts of light" so sunshine through clouds, moonbeams, torch beams, Jesus beams, dust motes in sunlight, you know the sort of thing, and as this is F&C I'm pretty sure we can also shoehorn rainbows into this as well.

As usual, the rules are:
  • Must be a photograph taken by you
  • Must be on film
  • Must have been taken prior to the start date
  • Please tell us about the camera and film etc, with a description of the image.
  • ... and remember, not too NSFW as this thread isn't labelled!
Closing date of midnight on 25th January, poll will run for 3 days.

This is the thread for entries, the discussion thread will be here

Wells August 1966.jpg

This is from August 1966, taken in Wells. The camera was an Exa IIB, and the lens would be the 50mm Domiplan. The film would probably have been PanF as even at that date I disliked fast films. I took a whole series of photographs around Wells at that time, some of which I still like as compositions and which cause me grief at the technical imperfections that prevent a decent print being made.

Bessa R3a 40mm Nokton and Velvia 50Asa.

Albir at sunrise.

I'll crowbar this one in.
Shot with a circa 1933 Soho Pilot camera which had more pinholes in its bellows than a pin cushion!
The shots were stuffed although the shafts of light were kinda apt for this image.

Poll added folks, get voting!

2 things to note:-

Due to the large number and high quality of entries I've increased the number of votes to 4

and

I'm going to be busy (yes @Asha I did say busy, not sleeping, lazing around, twiddling my thumbs etc) for the next few days so the poll will be open for 4 days.

Very tight at the top there with less than a day to go!

We have a tie, well done @joxby and @gazmorton2000.

Only one way to settle this.............

Fight!

There is a way used on another forum that doesn't involve fisticuffs ;). But that is specified in the rules up front.

Well, if it's a matter of "weakest to the wall" then the deciding factor should be the weight of the camera and lens used to capture the winning photo :D. Heaviest camera wins.

or a mod to come in and decide?
