New Old Film Challenge #258 'DISGUISE OR FANCY DRESS'

Anything to do with people disguised or in fancy dress or objects disguised as what they are not.

As usual the following rules apply:
1) Must be taken by you
2) Must have been taken on film, notwithstanding which, digital post processing is allowed
3) Must have been taken and developed prior to the start date of this challenge

Discussion in the Discussion thread (link below) rather than this Entries thread, please.

Please include details of the camera, lens, film etc and anything else of relevance, if you can possibly the details remember that far back. Perhaps you could also explain you reasons for the choice of image, as long as it doesn't contain vacuous statements like these:

"For me, photography means endless inspiration.
I use photography the way a painter might use paint.
Without photography I couldn't make my art..."

I could go on, but please don't allow me.

Entries close some time on midnight Sunday 4th May 2025, following which a voting page will be opened with a three day voting window.

Please keep all discussion and comments in the "new old film discussion thread" https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/new-old-film-challenge-discussion-thread.698995/page-24

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OLD RULE THAT 'THE PICTURE MUST BE SCANNED BEFORE THE DATE OF THE CHALLENGE' HAS BEEN RESCINDED!

The blue house down the road on the left is Nell Gwynne's house so they are pretty likely to be pretend Nells selling something associated with the courtesan, although I though she specialised in oranges and maybe other fruit and veg.

Go on, I'll have a go. Taken with an RTS III, 28-85 lens and I think T-Max. Paula ready for a fancy dress party.

Missed Clive's pic off the poll, Peter!

Oh bum! I'll fix it now. Done. Apologies to all especially Clive. This will affect the final outcome, not sure how to fix that.

You've left the "Change vote" option up, so I used that. I spotted that I'd accidentally voted for myself when I wanted to vote for Clive's, as the bottom one!

Don't worry about it. I never realised when I looked at the poll. I saw four options and had three votes and just presumed that it would be a tie if everybody played fair and didn't vote for themselves. At least now there is one option more.

Good, that has redressed the balance. I think have the change vote option is probably useful in the future, especially if I'm organising another challenge.

I'll close the polling now if I may, I'm out for the rest of the day and all day tomorrow at Bolton Museum archive photographing some Japanese objects (*). Thanks for everyone who took part and voted.

It's over to you FishyFish.

(*) Example below, sorry it's digital.
