New Nikon Df - not sure I like the lens cap

There used to be quite a tradition of camera manufacturers releasing official gold limited editions of SLR's in the 70's/80's, usually for commemorating production milestones, anniversaries etc with a few more given as prizes in competitions. I think the gold Pentax LX (which was released to commemorate Pentax manufacture 10,000,000 SLR's, the first gold LX being the 10,000,000th) looks the best though:

If you look on that page there are also links to articles and pictures about other gold cameras, some of which like the Nikon FM were official (60th anniversary of Nikon), whilst for others it's unknown whether they were factory made or unofficially plated afterwards.

You've either got good taste - or you haven't. Reminds me of Premier League footballers and their cars (some of them, anyway).
