Yesterday as I was heading back from London to Swansea, I thought of buying myself a magazine to read on the train journey. I popped into WHS and bought the September copy of Outdoor PHOTOGRAPHY.

On the train, I went through page after page (4 hours goes by very slow .. especially since we left Paddington a good 25 minutes later than schedule . and this was the 9:27pm train).

In the end, I started to flip through the ads. pages .. and went to the warehouseexpress pages (which is what I often do .. to see what else I may lust for), and there I found this ....

AF 85mm f1.4 D NEW
AF 85mm f1.8 D NEW

Why is there "new" next t these two lenses, and only these two lenses? I checked their web-site this morning but found nothing to indicate anything new there. Also, I can't find anything about a new 85mm AF lenses from Nikon other than a rumours thread at NikonCafe ...

Oh yes, and the "new" are in capital, bold and red !!!

So, what gives ?!?! :thinking::thinking::thinking:

New product line for them?

them = warehouseexpress ?!? If that's the case, then I am afraid to say "not" .. I've always followed their adds and they've always listed the 85mm (both lenses).

This is the first time they list these two lenses with the word "new" next to them.

Mis-written ad copy?

Just to confuse you and you alone?

lol .... that may well be the case, fuelled by the rumours thread at NikonCafe :p

...

Also they seem to update their ads about once every three months so I dont trust it much! :lol:

This is so true, and is why I thought there may be some legitimacy to this ... with Photokina due soon! May be they've got some heads' up on these two lenses that they've mistakingly slipped off to print in their ad. all too soon?
