New mobile charge time - Samsung Omnia

Hello everyone.

Has anyone got the Samsung Omnia mobile phone?

I will be getting mine in the post tomorrow and was wondering how long Do I need to charge it before use?

I cant seem to remember the time... Is it supposed to be 12 hours or something (as the first charge) or was it more?

I think I charged my Sony ericsson about 12 hours before.

Any ideas??

I always charge new phones overnight for the first charge. Look after the battery in the first 24 hours and it will look after you thereafter.

Modern batteries don't typically need a 12 hour charging period to bed them in, once they're charged they're charged. But as 2blue4u said, charging it overnight wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Lithium batteries don't have a "memory effect" so there is nothing wrong with you giving it a 10 minute charge before playing with it
