Hi everyone,

This is my first visit to the Talk Photography forum. I’m still exploring the site and getting a feel for the community, but I wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

I’m a passionate sports photographer, and much of my work involves capturing the energy and action of my local football team. That said, I have a great appreciation for all forms of photography and love seeing how others approach their craft.

I currently shoot with a Canon EOS 700D, which has been a great companion for a few years now. However, I’m considering upgrading to the Canon EOS R7 and would love to hear any advice or experiences from those who have used it.

Looking forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge here, sharing my own journey, and connecting with fellow photography enthusiasts.

There are IIRC some other members in Ireland &NI as well, as you will see, many (all) genre covered including at least one member who shot football professionally.

Welcome Simon, I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest and some good advice about the Canon gear. I'm based in NI myself, near Dundrum in Co Down. I shoot a mix of Nikon, Olympus and Pentax p[lus a lot of film gear, although in truth I haven't been able to di much photography this year, between moving house, work, and co-running this site and several of the regular challenges we have. However maybe we can hook up sometime for a coffee or even some photography! I'm mostly into landscapes, seascapes and slightly abstract B&W stuff, but open to most genres for the craic!
