Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris Lee and I live in Hampshire, UK.

I have always been interested in photography when I was young and have brought many cameras.

Last year I brought a Sony A300 DSLR and I am very impressed. I know its not the best of the best but I feel its a mid range camera that will give me the experence for the future.

Recently I brought a Tamron 70 - 300mm LD DI Tele-Macro Lens which was in the sale. I havent really had the change to use it as the weather has been poor lately but have been trying it out indoors and it seems pretty good.

I am now even more keen to venture into the hobby and start looking into studio equipment and other styles of photography.

So far its all self taught and hopefully becoming a member I can progress my education and become more creative.

Thank You,

Chris Lee

Welcome to the forums Chris, hope you will gain some valuable advise from fello members. You should find the Tamron lens a very resonable lens and very versatile, why not post some shots on one of the other threads.

:welcome: Welcome Chris! I'm sure you'll enjoy it on here.

not so complex as Gimp and edit resize 800 save =<200kb works for me

the seagull chest looks a bit dull - do you have a White Balance on your camera ?..or you could brighten in Paint.Net

cheers

Yes I do have White Balance, I just havent really played with the settings yet.

My camera is a Sony Alpha 300.
