Hi All,

Just registered with the forum. I'm living in the North West of England, Bolton near Manchester. Both myself and my wife are keep photographers, with no particular specialisation in any genre of photography. We both prefer landscapes (They don't move very much LOL). We really like the outdoors.

I am retired so have enough time on my hands to shoot ANYTHING. We are Canon users, 5DMK11 and 550D, a reasonable collection of "L" glass thanks to a decent retirement package. :canon:

We have both had some moderate success at Local camera club level. I'm currently looking to attempt some water drop photography, still trying to decide on what kit to purchase. Also I'm keen to get out and shoot Fungi, when I can find anything interesting enough.

Think that's about it from me.

welcome from me - not far from Bolton. Have you been to Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough? Good for landscapes (hills, water), there is a nature reserve and a photog hut round the back of the lake, some woodland where you may/may not find fungi and a couple of decent pubs, chippy and ice cream parlour. And my rugby club round the back, and a horse place for action shots. Mint!

Paulsim, No I've not been to Hollingworth lake, its on my "Places to Visit" list. I will now promote it as I didn't realise there was so much happening there. I like the idea of the pub, chippy etc. After the toggin of course.
