Hey people,
Just a few lines to say hello and to introduce myself:
My name is Stuart and I've been hooked on photography for over 20 years.
I started my shutterbug life with an old Praktica MTL-5 camera... as basic as you could get but it taught me the basic principles of photography.
Then I moved on to a Canon AE-1 Program, as the FD lenses were more freely available and I was now able to experiment with auto-exposure modes and get a bit more creative. I even invested in the motordrive which made a right old racket!
The pinnacle of my Film SLR days took shape in the form of the Canon T90. This was Canon's first modern SLR featuring computerised metering modes. An absolutely superb machine which I would still be using today if it wasn't for the lack of autofocus.
My first foray into digital photography came with the Canon EOS 10D. 6MP and my first EF lenses.
At the beginning of 2009 I upgraded to the Canon EOS 5D-II. The images are simply stunning from this camera and it has started my obsession with 'L'-glass!
To complement my photography, I produce large format prints onto canvas.
Oh, and I tend to type everything in this dark red colour! :nuts:
