New Mac Pro & MacBook Pro Geekbench scores released

Shows the new Mac Pro (codenamed AAPLJ90,1 with an Intel Xeon E5-2697 12 Core CPU with hyperthreading and 64GB RAM. The unit benches 32bit Geekbench at 23901, which looks blisteringly fast, and probably blisteringly expensive when released.

I don't get too excited about synthetic numbers, they are a useful general indicator.
Interesting to note that it's about 10% overall compared to the outgoing MP, which it should be thanks to the ultra-fast PCIe SSD and faster clock speed of the RAM.
Would've been nice to have seen a 25-30% increase overall.

I wonder if any of the tests used involve the GPU - I'm guessing it doesn't or they're not fully optimised still.
