ISO25 makes me very happy, especially since I borked my last roll of Adox CHS 25 (y)

Cool, more 25! I'm down to my last few rolls of Pan 25 though having to switch to Pan F probably wouldn't have been the end of the world.

Action photography then?

So its Coffee and TV vs Cigarettes and Alcohol. Not really sure what would win round here!

I liked Common People, I don't know any mind .....

Ooh! ISO25 sounds interesting

What he said!

now then this could be worth putting a roll thru, love slow films and f32 get that nice blur on water without too much faff

Definitely need to try some. What about development, though? RPX 100 is listed on the massive dev chart, but 25 isn't. Could stand it in Rodinal for an hour I suppose.

Any one tried this yet? I've ordered a couple of rolls to pad out a sheet film order from Maco Direct.

Indeed, it would be good to read some experiences and see some mages!

I think I shall order a roll, I have an idea for some shots which would make good use of ISO25 film.

10 rolls of ISO25 delivered 10mins ago.
8 rolls now in freezer, 1 in fridge awaiting an empty camera and 1 loaded in Contax.
Well done DJ, make sure you post up the results.

Jeez ISO 25, that reminds on how annoying it was using old Kodachrome and am sure a lot of my shots would have been sharper in not using a slow shutter speed or aperture wide open... on less than a bright day.

Tempting. I'm using Pan F with my new f1.2 lens and find in bright sun I'm still on the edge of 'too fast'... Think I'll try iso25!

Huh a F1.2 lens was made so the last generation of photographers could see better in dim conditions :D and would think @ F1.2 in bright conditions it is not very practical with very small DOF, being unsharp and low contast with flare problems.

I love my 1.2, it's heavy and shot wide open it's a pig to focus but it has a look all of its own. It's not my most used lens but you'd have to pry it out of my cold dead hands to get it from me.

My nikon 50 1.2 is basically the only thing I use on 135, precisely because it's completely different to anything else I can do with anything else. It's near impossible to focus, flares like crazy and has massive coma, but whe. It's right it's beautiful :D

three weeks after ordering its arrived. A few days was a back order for the film which I was advised of, ten days of that was DHL leaving the first card to collecting from Staples after they'd lost it in the back room. I really wish retailers would put pressure on courier firms to improve ultimately the courier can have a major impact on a companies reputation.

Any way going to try and make some time at the weekend to try it out.

I have iso 50 available on my new digi. To me that is snail pace. Medium speed is iso400 in my world ;)

Never mind the 36 exp challenge, trying to find 5 or 6 different compositions to finish a roll in 30 minutes before the sun set was knackering. Any way roll exposed I'll develop it tomorrow.

I forgot to check for reciprocity failure so I'll have to stand dev it to make sure I actually get some of the longer exposures to come out.

Just out of the soup, doesn't look good. Not sure if it has appalling reciprocity or I've made a mess of the metering but the negs look very very dark. Not my day, the other film I did this evening has an undeveloped strip across the top of the frame...

I think you'll find it's a document type emulsion, they usually have much less highlight latitude (if you look at the characteristic curves the highlight end usually rolls off much quicker) so over-exposure combined with over-development can result in massively over cooked negs.

Drat didn't notice it was a document film, need to be more careful with the other roll. I've still got some Pan 25 but I expect I'll migrate to Pan-F after that expires. Document films are a little more work than my slap dash approach allows.

Ouch, I've never hooley'd a roll that thoroughly. Only the last frame was scanable very tempted to just chuck the film and recover the Kenro sheet its that bad! Irritatingly I can't even work out what I did so horribly wrong. I'll need to try again in more light with a fresh battery in the meter.

Edit (kind off) Scanning another roll from a couple of weeks ago would suggert that the battery in my meter is buggered!! Arrrrrgggggh I really needed the other roll to come out perfect!

Have you considered using a reducer - assuming you can still buy them? I've used Farmer's reducer years ago (meaning about 1960) when I made a mess of exposure. I still have the powders to make up more...

As to the meter - practice metering, watch the light, and you'll find that very quickly you'll get the exposure to within a half stop or so of the meter in most daylight conditions. Or carry a small "Sunny 16" sheet to make a quick check to see if the reading is reasonable.

Edit to add - what's the meter? My Lunasixes have a battery check to make sure that they're working correctly.

Not the meter at least. Just checked it with a fresh battery and getting identical readings. I'm usually pretty good but dawn and dusk van throw my internal meter out.

Unfortunately I developed both these films at the same time so I didn't realise there might be a problem.

Just had a further play with the other film and I think it's fine just some issues scanning. So the mystery is what I did to so completely mess up a roll of film!

bit of a bump from a old thread. ive just shot a roll of the RPX25 processed in promicrol 1+9 20 degC and had some great negs from it. its a higher contrast than say FP4 but got a good tonal separation and was able to burn down the highlights no issue but carried plenty of detail in the lower zones. will be shooting another roll tues so stay tuned to see if this was not a fluke.
The processing time was taken from agfa apx25 and the negs where spot on wonder if its a revised edition of that film
