New Lens

Congrats.......looks like you getting some nice gear together reading your sig:thumbs:

Steer clear of water !?! :naughty:

Take loads of picks and show us the results !

Njoy ... :p

DO take lots of pics - DON'T just leave it in the bag.

congrats, great lens, if you're using it handheld get rid of the collar, makes it very awkward.

Enough already :suspect:

Get to know it's sweet spot and don't forget to update your gear list signature

Just try and make the right sort of splash with it

:coat:

Congrats on the new toy, always a pleasant experience getting to play with new photo gear:)

I bought the 70-200 f2.8 Sigma myself about a fortnight ago, it's a cracker

I compared and thought long and hard about which zoom to get and when it came down to the crunch, I couldn't justify 1k more just to have white paint and IS

Picture for picture at wide open, and fully stopped down and even random points in between the sigma was a match for the canon L of the same length.

My brother has one too, its a fantastic lens for the money ! :) (even though his first one failed on the first day, and had to wait 2 weeks for replacement !!!!)

Thats not a bad reflection on the lens though tbh, my 17-40 L was fubar out of the box.

was that through an internet purchase?

I must admit to getting all my kit from the highstreet, i'm happy to pay 20 quid extra to my local shop because they have always given my fantastic service

"shameless plug.....if your ever in Chester and need some kit.....Camera solutions is a great place"

erm no he got it from Jessops so he could try it out on the camera first and make sure it was suitable (as they are the only photography shop in his area) ! roflmao ! He too was worried about returns and rightly so after his experience !
