Happy new year all.
After a long absence not only from this forum but from photography in general I have taken the bull by the horns and ordered a lovely new Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens to pair with the D700 I have had from new but hardly ever used. Myself and my wife started up a new charity a few years ago for cancer victims and I have been too busy to use it, I now am throwing myself into it with renewed vigour and cant wait to receive it. I intend to also get the 70-200 vr 11 2.8 in the near future too. My main interest is landscape and portrait, but as an ex racer I also enjoy my motor cycle road racing. I will be a regular visitor here again now and look forward to getting some info and advice, some of the images on here are mind blowing and I would like to be able to produce some good ones myself. With the equipment I have it should now be possible once I have learned how to use it!
