New lens - what could this be?

Just received a new to me, canon 85 1.2 ii, upon inspection there’s what appears to be marks on the inside of the lens !? The filter ring does have some chips on it (no issue) and I’m not sure if it’s a reflection of the dreaded fungus !

Hard to tell from the photos, shine a light down the front of the lens and look thought it from the rear optic, if it looks like a spot with a spiders sort of web coming off like a shooting star that will indicate its fungus

If you mean that little white patch at the top of the lens on the inside element it looks like fungus yes. Won't affect your image quality at the moment. If it was a bargain I'd keep it - if it was the same price as all the others I'd be inclined to return it.

Thanks guys - sad times - I’ll have to email mpb - not look for a lens with fungus !
