New Lens old Body

The 18-55 is a DX lens, so it won't sufficiently cover the sensor (which is 35mm film in this case). The lens is designed for the smaller APS-C size.

Whilst AF-S lenses will work with the F65, that one you've linked won't work without massive vignetting as it is a designed for smaller DX sensor cameras, film is 'full frame' remember!

Thanks guys what should I be on the lookout for?

I just want to go wider on that old body?

28mm is already quite wide on FX. If you want to go slightly wider, a 24mm prime is your next step - but they often don't come in cheap. If you want to go significantly wider, you need to look at ultra wide angles... they definitely do not come in cheap.

Just one question... if it would fit the body, and you'd accept the vignetting.....how would you set the aperture?

Electronically through the body, the F65 is able to use Nikon 'G' lenses which lack a physical aperture ring as most do these days. The system for this is identical for all Nikon lenses and as so all Nikon cameras which support G lenses are able to use them.

Would you get a nice round image on the film?

ha ha could be cool.
I was thinking of getting a Tokina 11-16 to go with my D7000.

Hey I can bragg I have a full frame camera :D

its a bit old like.
