I've been coveting a 35L for a while. I love my 50L, but I feel like sometimes at weddings I'd like something a little wider for tight situations like brides getting ready and packed receptions.
I was almost tempted to buy a Sigma 35A but was ultimately put off by all the reports of focusing issues. I got the 35L for a bit less than the cheapest grey import prices I've seen for the Sigma. I hadn't realised how badly the euro was doing vs the pound, so was surprised to find lots of really good prices on used lenses on the continent! I bought mine from a guy in the Netherlands and it should be with me shortly.
Really looking forward to trying this lens out, hopefully the beautiful weather will continue for a few more days!
In the long run, I feel like I might end up going the 35/85 route for weddings, or I might just add a 135L for an odd trinity of 35/50/135. I do love the 50L, apart from the times I have to discard my favourite shot from a sequence due to it having misfocussed
Anyone else picked up some new glass this week?
