New Laptop CS4

Hi Folks,

Looking to get a new laptop for college, and as I've not kept up with components I am looking for some help. Basic specs are

Core i7-720QM
4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3
1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5470
320Gb HDD
15.6" High Definition (1366x768) WLED

Are these specs ok for CS3 and 5dMkII raw files. Would I notice a vast difference with a 1920*1080 screen?

Not really a gamer anymore (apart from daft flash games and footie manager games).

Will also have a 21.6" monitor to hook it up to for editing when at home, and some USB HDD's for backup and image storage.

Those specs are more than ample for CS4. You may find the low resolution of the screen a little limiting though.

Most of the editing will be done on the 21.6" monitor. The laptops screen will be for documents and quick viewing and editing.

This spec is at the top of my budget and the higher res 1080 screen is another £90 :bang:
