hi i would like to introduce myself to the club, and and enjoy your skills behind a camera,i do not have an expensive outfit myself but enjoy photoghraphy,i may also like your help with a problem my friend has with his Nikon D50,the sensor on fully auto gives very false readings ,eg 1600th on a bright day,any ideas any one,ps its taken aprox 40,000,shots,many thanks:

Hi Keith, welcome to TP :wave: I don't know the answer to your friends problem, but check the aperture control lever inside the body, it may be stuck and telling fibs to the cameras metering system. Other than that, I'm sure someone on here will know or have come across this before - good luck
 
many thanks for replies and advice,i have a panasonic lumix,FZ18,not top of the range,but can get some good results,the trouble is ,i can take a rushed shot that comes out brilliant,then take ages setting up and get a very ordinary shot,the joys of photography for a novice,
