Hi all
I posted up a few pics of my hamster about a week back here but didnt get round to introducing myself like I said I would so here goes:
I'm Neil
29
North London
Me and my girlfriend 'snaphappybear' recently brought and share a Nikon D3100
Also just finished reading through the book 'from snapshots to great shots' - Jeff Revell. Really excellent book and the assignments at the end of each chapter are so useful for putting things into practice.
The only other time Iv used a DSLR was a nikon D50 which I borrow off an uncle but didnt know what to do with it and just used 'Auto Mode'. After handing it back I was hungry to get more involved..
I've got a handle of the basics now I hope, the exposure triangle and all that, still not sure how the meter modes differ/works in practice but its coming all together slowly.
Here's a few pics of the first time I used A and S Pro Modes up North last weekend, enjoy I hope you's like them and please crit (I want to get better of course)
First two are of my girfriends dad's cat called 'Jack' (he was hanging round the back door) the next two of the dog called 'Taz' (we took him on a little walk) I then practiced a final close up on a window legde in the front room.
