Welcome to tp, there aren't really any bad cameras it's personal preference on how it feels in your hands and budget that puts you in the right direction.

But it has to be NIKON

I know that there are those that are Cannon people and others that are Hardcore Nikons.Any major difference.

No not really, at the bottom budget end of both ranges it will be down to how they feel in your hands and the button layout really.
