Hello

First time on a forum of any kind, looking to get started at understanding photography seriously. I currently own a Panasonic Lumiz FZ45 didn't really know what the difference was between bridge cameras and DSLR so thought i would start of small and it had great reviews but To be honest i can't seem to do what i want with this and was hoping for some advice on either the Nikon D3100 or older D80 or maybe the Canon 1100D to get me started on the right track any advice would be great.

Thanks.

Hiya

Welcome, You will get plenty of help and advice here, just don't get drawn into the Nikon is better than Canon or vice versa

My advice would be to go try them both out and see which you prefer teh feel of, and definitely don't rule out secondhand.

take a look at here used http://www.mpbphotographic.co.uk/

Enjoy the forum, im pretty new here too but cant stay away

Good luck

Stephen
