Hello there,

About 1 and a half - 2 years ago I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D40. And it's been my trusty camera since then until today, when my Kit lens decided to Jam :(. So now, after using a friend 550D I'm very tempted to buy it off him.

im a newbie myself but the place seems full of decent folks and loads of information. the wife is currently a TP widow:)

A warm welcome from another TP noob; although I've been shooting for a while.

FWIW, you should get the 550D if it is offered at a decent price. It is a nice little cam with a really good sensor.
