Good evening all and thank you for letting me sign up. I'm here after a lovely gentleman called Simon who I stumbled across on Threads recommended I sign up to the 52 photos a year challenge. I'm 39 years old (40 in October) and I'm very much a beginner level amateur photographer. I love landscape and wildlife photography and enjoy doing what I call "taking my camera for a walk". My reasons for joining the forum were mainly to join the 52 photos challenge but also to meet like minded people, learn more about photography and enjoy some photography related chat along the way. I'll warn you now I often get confused by tech speak, have no idea how to edit photos and can't afford a computer capable of photo editing however you're welcome to edit my photos as you wish. My gear is as follows:
Camera: OM-D E-M5 mark 3
Telephoto lens: Olympus M.Zuiko digital ED 40-150mm
Landscape lens: Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-32mm ASPH Mega O.I.S

3 random facts about me:
I grew up in Saudi Arabia
I also lived in Ecuador for 2 years
My favourite sport is cricket which I have a lifelong passion for.

Welcome Matt.
If you're interested in the 52 challenge, be advised that you don't have to start in January - if you want to c=join late, you can start at any time and attempt each weekly theme as it comes out just the same; you could if you wished add to that a "catch up" of the missed themes, but that's entirely optional. The aim of the challenge is to get people out shooting with their gear, and your outfit is good by the way. The rules etc are here
