Just like to say G'day from Albany on the South coast of Western Australia.
I am new at this game and thought I could learn something from you Pom's ?

Seriously, I was born in the UK many Moons ago and would just like to see what you are up to in comparison to our Photography forums.

I am a semi-retired Horticulturist who obviously loves plants and my garden. Perhaps I can share some photographs with you a little later? Going off what I have already seen, you set a cracking standard.

Regards
Rob

 Gi'day sport & welcome

Hi Rob , and :welcome: to TalkPhotography :).

By the way, love your country. Was there last in 2005, had a blast of a time

Thank you so much Trig's and Wail, I am sure I am going to enjoy my visits here.
Wail, where in Oz did you visit ?

Sydney, Melbourn and Adelaide; though it was primarily for work, but still got to enjoy it plenty :)

Anyway welcome to this forum, the internet makes us all so close together.

Hello Rob. Welcome to TP. I have lots of Pommie relatives, including my parents and brother living in WA so I have had 8 visits out there in the last 25 years. On one of my visits I went to Albany and Denmark. Its a lovely area but almost as cold as England. The recent cold temperatures there (-4C I hear down in SW Australia) must have made you feel right at home.

I cant wait to see your flower pictures. I know quite a few Aussie plants as my mum is an enthusiast. My favourites are Eucalyptus macrocarpa and eucalyptus caesia. I also love the smell of frangipani. I tried to grow one here indoors but it died.

There are some WA pictures in my gallery in the Australia section but I havent posted any flowers in there, mostly birds.

Sue
