Hi everyone, I'm failry new to this photography lark but have just invested in my first DSLR (Olympus E510) so am keen to learn as much as I can.

During my web based travels to find out about all things photographic, I found a new online photography magazine that launches on Friday. It's called Photo360 and looks like it's going to be pretty cool and completely free.

Plus every 100th person that signs up gets a free compact camera!

Just realised that it could look like that! Apologies.

I geniunely have just started photography to compliment the writing work I do, predominantly food photography and am looking forward to getting some critique, tips and advice from some seasoned professionals.
 
Afraid it's a natural reaction when someone's first post appears to be promoting something. If you are also a writer, it may explain why the post looked a little like an advert! ;)

May pick your brains at some point about food photography. I cover Polo tournaments in the summer which sometimes involves taking photos in the sponsor's marquee and I am pants at the obligatory shots of the buffet! :D

I think this is all fine, saw a big advert for it in one of this/last months photo mags. This reminded me I was going to sign up :)

It's being set up by Charlie over at DSLR User, lovely person who certainly won't be scamming anyone.

She sent me off to Venice last year and I trusted her enough to turn up at the airport/hotel with nothing more than the reference numbers she had given me :)

There is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH....or magazine come to that.
 
Thoughts about the mag? Bit too clunky for my liking, needs to stop looking like a magazine and be readable online without zooming imo. Also a bit weird that it doesn't load up in the background like a PDF, but loads each page when you get to it.
