New film kit incoming

Well I wanted the F100 as well but too expensive for me and had to settle for the F90x

Initially my story. Had to do with the F90X while the 2 other in my nature photography group showed off their F100 80-200/2,8 lenses and what not. Then I had the opportunity and bought one. Not that big difference, well the F100 is better but the F90X is still a darned good camera.

DPD dropped mine off about 15 minutes after I mentioned it.

I have an N90s/F90x too and it is a great camera. It's only drawback is it's weight but that comes partly from taking batteries you can buy almost anywhere on the planet.

Must be a mod as my FM doesn't have a knurled bit around the shutter release..wonder if it's because of complaints about closing the wind on lever to lock the shutter, and you turned the knurled bit instead?

The problem with the last of the 35mm SLRs is that they tend to look very similar to today's digital SLRs... so you can end up looking at the back of them where the screen should be after taking a shot! I've done that a couple of times with my Canon EOS-3, although that looks a bit less modern than the F100. Does anyone else want to admit doing that too?

My grandchildren used do that when I took a shot, rush up to the camera and saw nothing :D Now they are not interested in waiting to see the pic, can't blame them really as when we see them it could be anything from two weeks to a month.

He also included two Fuji Superia films a 200/36 and a 400/36 the 400 ASA one is in now. I got it for £50 the third highest price I've paid for a film camera. Second was a Mamiya C33 at £64 the highest being my Praktica BX20 kit which I bought new in the 80's.

Just in case you didn't know:- three of my four Nikon lenses are non AI so the FM is handy for those, also they should be cheaper than the later ones. Using em I keep forgetting to stop down for exposure reading

I haven't got any Pre-AI lenses, only one of mine has the rabbit ears connector, a Vivitar 17-28mm f4 and that has AI too.
