I want to build a darkroom in my garden I have 12' x 10' of space does anyone have any problems with that size? or general comments. Thanks.

Build as big a shed as you can, but I've worked in darkrooms smaller than that.

If you're putting an enlarger in (of course you are, why have a darkroom otherwise ;)) then make sure your shed is tall enough such that enlarger + easel gives you distance to work with. Don't just spec up for 35mm or whatever you're using now, make it future proof and spec for 4x5!

Hi not sure what 4x5 is but I have a RZ67 which at the moment i have processed for me.

4x5 is where you'll end up eventually, if you run your own darkroom ;).

Large format, negatives are 4"x5". It's not uncommon for large format photographers to shoot 5x7, 8x10 or perhaps bigger (Ultra Large Format.)

Just think how much better your 70mm negatives are than 35mm negatives. 4x5 gives you 127mm negatives.

Thank for the info, what type of camera do i need for 4x5?
