New computer for photography and learning to video edit - Please help possible BF purchase

Yeah, unless you can save at least 10% or really want to build your own (and know what you are doing) then I'd buy that ready built one. Looks a great price for the spec - and it means there's no chance of forgetting something important. Also, warranty :)

I've just bought a license key for Windows on eBay from a "scrapped" computer. The seller tells me it is legit and I've no obvious reason to doubt them apart from it costing 4 quid.....

Download the latest ISO from Microsoft, burn to thumbdrive (I'm doing it on a Mac but apparently Windows people use Rufus), pour yourself a drink boot and wait :)

I got Pro because I can think of uses for HyperV and remote desktop - also it cost literally pennies more. If you think Docker will work for you (or don't know why you'd even want a hypervisor) then I bet Home will be fine.

I bought a copy of Win10 PRO on Ebay for about £13 inc activation key and it worked fine on my Z840.

I really only got it because win 10 is the preferred OS for that PC even though I prefer Win 7.

Personally I'd go for win 10 PRO because you don't know what you may need for the future but BEWARE!!!

Make sure you have unlimited downloads from your ISP because the latest update for Win 10 Pro was OVER 4 GB!!!

How does it need 4GB of updates?

In fact I think all the updates so far are over 10GB!

The same way that the Macbook that I bought at the end of 2008 required a 1GB first update. Never the less, I agree that's a very large DL.

The latest call of duty game is 145gb download!
