This is what I am playing with now, the Canon lens is using an adaptor for the E mount (might convert it to Leica after, so I can use a Helicoid adaptor, MFD is quite long)

The Lens is hard to pin focus at 0.95, the focus peaking works, but once you zoom focus it goes away, and at 0.95 is not really sharp, but does create a great mood.

For a 40 year old lens, this is quite stunning

What a combo !

Here is a picture I took with it

Moo Bokeh

As you can see, the bokeh is very unique and quite awesome (for my taste) .. still learning to use this lens, but loving it so far :)

nice look forward to seeing more, where did you get the lens? do you buy the camera it comes with and remove it?

Just spent the better part of my life researching lenses for the A7S, ordered the Voigtlander 35mm/1.2 - but for 50mms I've considered the mitakon 0.95

HI

I actually found it in Portugal, it belonged to the same person for close to 40 years since new, it did had a Canon 7 camera, but I was able to convince the seller to sell me the Lens only (had no use for the camera)

I bought the Voigtlander 35 1.2 as well, it's an awesome lens

The mitakon might (most likely) be sharper than the Canon at 0.95, I almost got it, but you can't get that bokeh ... it's just unique, it's also something to be careful, if you are a pixel pusher and want things 100% sharp on focus, the canon 50 at 0.95 is not for you, I see it as more of an "artistic" lenses.

While my copy seems to be quite in good shape, I will be sending it to a specialist to tear it apart and clean all internal elements, see if it lasts another 40 years :)

You can see a few more pics with it and the voigtlander 1.2 on my flick - https://www.flickr.com/photos/nullmind/

Any questions, fire away :)
